Labrador Retriever Puppies for Sale in California

Explore available Labrador Retriever puppies in California and learn what to ask about parent health testing, socialization, and breeder records.

Choosing a Labrador Retriever puppy

Labradors are popular family and working companions. When comparing litters, look beyond photos and ask about the parents, the puppy's early care, and the breeder's plans for placement.

Review parent health records

Ask for verifiable hip and elbow evaluations, current eye examinations, and relevant DNA results such as EIC, CNM, and PRA-prcd. Testing helps inform risk but cannot guarantee a puppy's future health.

Ask about the puppy's start

Discuss socialization, age, veterinary care, and what the puppy has experienced so far. Confirm pickup or delivery arrangements, any written health terms, and what support the breeder offers after placement.
